2025 Watch-List - Based on Last Year's Ratings - Separated by Class

 CLASS A

Entering the upcoming XC season (2025), six returning Class A runners have an
individual speed rating of 180 or higher ... and 27 have an individual speed rating
of 170 or higher ... 16 of the top 17 runners with the highest retuning speed
ratings are seniors.

The top 3 runners below have the highest individual and overall speed ratings and
are slightly separated from other top Class A runners ... Ryan Sykes is the defending
Class A champion and he won the NXR-NY-Fed Championship race ... Owen Conley is the
only other returning NY runner to have a 190+ speed rating ... Thomas Isenovski
posted consistent speed ratings in the mid-to-upper 180s.

The next three runners (Claudel Chery, Ryan Tuohy and Ryan Maher) all had overall
speed ratings higher than the other returning Class A runners (especially their
last 3 races).

A big group of Class A returners have individual speed rating in the 170s, and some
of them are likely to improve ... It happens every year.

Benjamin Berman is the defending PSAL Champion ... he had an individual speed
rating of 181 ... he had some excellent track performances (three 3200m races
in the 8:50s) which suggests he might be a contender for a top-spot in all of
NY State.

Alexander Jones was 2nd at last year's PSAL Championship race ... Edwin Alleva
