Race was divided into two heat divisions with 3 runners from each school counting in combined score ... half-way through the first heat, Kaitlin Rees (Oneida) leads Kayla Nimmo (JE) and Amy Van Deusen (Chitt) Kayla Nimmo (JE) winning the first division over Kaitlin Rees (Oneida) ... their times were quite good considering the cold and windy conditions
Early in the second division race, Ashley Hughes (Phoenix) leads the winning Phoenix trio that also includes Macrina Seals and Nicole Sears ... Tully's Jessica Portmess is also up close ...

Lopez trailed by a substantial margin when receiving the baton ... he caught Ozzie and followed him, but Ozzie pulled away nicely in the final lap to win for Chittenango ... Lopez's split was 4:42.7 and Ozzie's was about 4:44 ...
