Finish of the girls 1000m ... Lauren Heron (FM, 3:09.3) wins over Taryn Menard (CNS, 3:10.5), Ashley Hughes (Phoenix, 3:12.4), Meghan Dunn (Clinton) and Katie Bubnack (West Genesee)

Marie Swieta (APW) winning the high jump with a clearance above of 5-4 ... Marie was the only girls jumper to clear 5 feet

Early in the boys 1000m race ... John Evans (CBA) currently leads Kevin Horvath (Sauquoit, hidden behind John), Ryan Hohm (Corcoran) and Jarrett Morgan (FM) ... Kevin Horvath sprinted off impressively in the final lap to win in 2:45.7.

At the start of the girls 600m (fast heat)

Girls 600m dash ... completing the first 200m lap in 31.3 is eventual winner Jessica Lister (South Jeff, 1:43.7) ... she is followed by Jen Taormina (Liverpool, 1:44.6), and Jacquelyn Rappa (Clinton, 1:51.8)

Girls 600m dash ... winner Jessica Lister (South Jeff, 1:43.7) leads after 400m (66.0) over runner-up Jen Taormina (Liverpool, 1:44.6) and 3rd-place finisher Melissa Lister (South Jeff, 1:48.1)

Rounding the final turn of the Boys 600m dash ... Brian McNiff (CBA, 1:26.6) is all by himself with a commanding lead.

Girls Pole Vault ... Shelly Kline (Liverpool) barely missing 9-3 ... Shelly cleared 8-6 to win the competition, and then raised the bar to 9-3 to try for an indoor school record.

Final heat of the boys 55m dash ... all runners coming out of the blocks with good form.

Girls 3000m at the starting line ... Marie Parks (CNS, front line, 2nd from right, 11:14.5) was the winner ... Laura Ewald (CNS, front line, 3rd from right, 11:17.3) was 2nd ... Kayleigh Wheeless (Westhill, 11:24.9) was 3rd ... Meghan McAnaney (Westhill, 11:29) was 4th ... Stephanie Bartlett (West Gen, fourth from the left) was 5th (11:29)
