Girls A Race ... about 800 meters into the race ... winner Brittany Crawford (FM) and Lauren Moser (Beaver River) ... Beaver River moved up to the A race (from C/D) ... unfortunately, Moser developed a severe muscle cramp in her leg and was forced to drop-out after entering the woods trail for the first time ... Crawford had the fastest girl's time of the day (17:48) in a very good solo effort.
Girls A Race ... 2nd-place finisher Lauren Ferrimani (Fairport) leads Brittany Wilder (Liverpool, 4th), Laura Cass (Fairport, 10th) and Kristen Taylor (FM, 5th ... Kristen lost some time when she took a wrong turn).	Girls A Race ... 3rd place finisher Marlee Jones (Windsor) ... Windsor is a Class C school from Section 4 (they moved up to the A race).

Girls B Race ... coming to the finish ... winner Ashley Hughes (Phoenix, 18:03) finishes ahead of Sarah Allen (Southern Springs) ... This was a very good race - Sarah and Ashley opened a wide margin on the field fairly early with Sarah leading ... the pair stayed close after several surges and lead changes ... Ashley finished strongly to win ... This was only the second of six varsity races - note the muddy conditions in the closing stretch (which got even worse later on).

Girls C/D Race ... about 800 meters into the race ... 2nd-place finisher Amberlyn Mattice (Solvay) leads winner Nichole Lister (S Jeff) ... Nichole opened a comfortable lead in the last half of the race and won handily.	Girls C/D Race ... this group includes Kelly Billingiere (Harpursville), Caitlin Palmer (Thomas Edison, 3rd place) and Chelsea Gibson (Weedsport)

Boys A Race ... winner Teddy Quinn (Rush-Henrietta, 15:36, 3rd fastest time of the day ) ... Quinn opened an early lead and won with an excellent solo effort.	Boys A Race ... Fayetteville-Manlius group led by Jared Burdick ... FM finished second to Canadian Thousand Islands SS

Boys B Race ... about 800 meters into the race ... Manuel Karam (JD, right) and Raph Kopecky (JD) with Robert Young (Newark) ... just behind them is eventual winner Noel Bateman (Aquinas)	Boys B Race ... coming to the finish ... Patrick Hughes (Homer)

Boys C/D Race ... start of the race
Boys C/D Race ... about 800 meters into the race ... Lopez Lomong (15:15) and Dominic Luka (Tully, 15:28) have already opened a sizeable lead ... they had the two fastest times of the day (and this race was the last of six varsity races with deteriorating course conditions).	Boys C/D Race ... about 800 meters into the race ... Chris Tucker (Cato) leads this group with Derek MacKenzie (Weedsport) just behind.
