Allison Sawyer (Hilton) was the overall female winner of the Greece Police Athletic League 5K run at Greece, NY ... Allison's time (17:46) was much faster than last year (19:09) ... other Hilton runners also ran including new "soccer" transfers Lindsay Crocetti and Sarah Ritchie ... the course in described as USATF Certified, flat and fast.

August 14, 2006 ... Saratoga Harness Mile

Former Saratoga runner Nicole Blood (4:58) won the Elite Mile race over Hannah Davidson (5:08) ... Races were contested over the half-mile track at Saratoga Harness Raceway ... The running surface is made of compacted rock dust and soil which is similar to running over an old high school cinder track ... The Saratoga girls ran in the Jailhouse Rock 5K two days earlier ... Hannah Davidson (Saratoga) was the top female finisher running the same time she ran in the Silks & Satins 5K ... Cassie Goutos, Kaitlin O'Sullivan, Brianne Bellon and Alysha McElroy all ran sub-19:00 (and Liz Ochse was very close).

The race is advertised as a USATF Certified 5K, "Flat and fast with a fabulous downhill for your summertime PR!"...

July 29, 2006 ... Silks & Satins 5K Road Race

Hannah Davidson (Saratoga) was the top female finisher with a very fast time of 16:54 (last year, Hannah was the top female with a time of 16:58) ... Saratoga's Cassie Goutos, Brianne Bellon and Alysha McElroy also ran very well (and the Ochse twins were not far behind) ... this was a very good performance by the Saratoga girls ... Kelly Sorrell (one of the top high school XC runners from Connecticut) also ran well ... Steve Murdock ran 15:35 (last year, he ran 14:59).
