Nichole Lister (South Jefferson) won both the 800m & 1500m (2:14.4 & 4:46.2) with PRs and meet record times ... according to the Watertown Daily Times newspaper, Lister went out hard in the 800 while being pushed by Lauren Moser (Beaver River, finished second in about 2:20) ... in the 1500, Lister went out easily for the first two laps and finished very strongly ... in most invitational races this spring, Nichole has been "negative splitting" her 800/1500 races (indicating she can run faster final times) ... and Nichole did not think she was running that fast (referring to her 1500 time of 4:46.2) ... Unfortunately, the 800/1500 is a nearly impossible double at the State Meet because the 800 and 1500 are back-to-back on the second day of competition (with only the Boys 800m in between plus  the unseeded division of the girls 1500).

Chelsea Berry (Lowville) continues to win her specialties of the 100m, 200m and triple jump (and anchor leg of the winning 4x400 relay) ...
