Results From: ... Ben Cardamone - Girls section 4 coordinator for Track and Field (Elmira)

The following are the results of the His/Hers Championships held 1/21/04 at Cornell Universities, Barton Hall.

Lansing won the team title and small school division ... Elmira was 2nd overall and winner of the large school division

Lansing was led by triple wins from Caitlin Wright in the 200, 400 and Triple Jump ... also Kylee Jordan won the 800, 1500 and was part of winning 1600 relay ... Peter McKay and Phill Abott also chipped in wins for Lansing

Elmira was led by Nicole Sosnoski, who broke 2 Elmira District records. Nicole took 1st in the long Jump in a school record 17' 1.5 " (Kelly Maines,16'10",1997) and also 2nd in the Triple Jump in a school record 34' 8"(own record,34' 1/2", 2003 state qualifiers). All of her jumps beat previous school record. She was also part of the winning 800 relay.

On the boys side James Massar of Johnson City won the Long Jump in 20' 6" and the 55 in 6.4 seconds. He hit a brick wall in Jake Puusalu of Waverly in his 3rd attempted win in the 200. He was runner up in 22.9 to Puusalu's 22.5. Puusalu also won the 400 in 50.4 and anchored Waverly's 1600 relay.
